Thank you for considering us as loving parents for your child. We are Dave & Nykol. Though we have not met, we are in awe of your compassion and courage. The gift of adoption is the ultimate act of profound love and selflessness. If you choose us, we promise your baby will be loved, protected, celebrated and surrounded by family, friends and a community who will love them unconditionally. Our greatest hope is to raise a child in a happy, loving home where they have every opportunity to enjoy the good things in life. We will allow your child space to explore their interests, and grow into the individual they are meant to be. We will nurture your child to become a caring, compassionate and respectful person, making sure they know that their incredible birth family placed his/her needs above their own.

About Us

We met on the Carnival Sensation, while Nykol was on the cruise with friends for a fun-filled getaway and Dave was on a family vacation with about 15 of his family members. While in a piano bar singing along to “Sweet Caroline” we struck up a conversation and then hung out the next two days on the cruise, going to comedy shows and game nights that were offered. We exchanged phone numbers as we got off the boat and headed back home to New Jersey (for Nykol) and Michigan (for Dave). We talked every single day, multiple times a day and soon began visiting each other. We maintained a long distance relationship for a little over two years, with both of us traveling back and forth to see each other as much as possible. Much to Nykol’s surprise, Dave popped the question while we were at her parents’ house. Nykol was overjoyed that her soulmate had asked her to be his wife! Dave moved from Michigan to New Jersey and after much preparation we were married on a beautiful spring day in Las Vegas, surrounded by 80 of our friends and family. After our wedding we headed off to our honeymoon. Eight days, cruising around the Caribbean, soaking up sun, relaxing, and enjoying some much needed R&R.

My Husband (as told by Nykol)
Dave is my best friend and my rock. When times are tough he is there to offer words of comfort and always helps me to see the silver lining in every situation. Dave is a natural born leader which I admire greatly. He works at one of the world’s largest book distributors as a Team Lead, managing over 50 individuals. My favorite thing about Dave is his humor; he never ceases to amaze me with his “one liners”, which often leave me snorting with laughter. He can be a little shy until he gets to know you, but that literally lasts about a minute! Everyone who meets Dave is instantly at ease and feels like they have known him for a lifetime. Some of Dave’s favorite activities are his RC cars (he’s even peaked my interest a little), watching his favorite college football team the University of Michigan Wolverines, taking hikes in the nearby mountains, and watching wrestling. Dave is a self-proclaimed “Hulkamaniac” and on Monday nights can be found cheering on his childhood Idol Hulk Hogan! He is truly my team mate in life, and I cannot wait to see him as the amazing father that I know he will be.

My Wife (as told by Dave)
Nykol is a one of the most caring, generous and loving individuals I know. She is always willing to help others in need and would give you the shirt off her back if she thought that you needed it. Nykol even heads up the annual Holiday food drive at her job, which donates and feeds individuals and families in need, supplying them with meals for the Holiday season. Her charismatic out-going personality and her “gift of gab”, make her very easy to talk to. She is truly a sincere person who brings out the best in everyone she meets. Nykol’s thirst for exploration and research has led to her successful career as a Senior Chemist at one of largest personal care/cosmetics companies in the world. In her spare time Nykol enjoys taking long walks around the neighborhood, hiking, hanging out with friends and family, cooking and watching documentaries. During football season, she can be seen cheering on her beloved NY Giants. Nykol will no doubt be a phenomenal mother to a child and I cannot wait for that to happen.

Family Life

Our love, trust, communication and understanding of one another are what truly make our relationship great and our marriage successful. We are a fun-loving and adventurous couple, and when we are not cruising around the Caribbean (our favorite place), we like to hike the beautiful mountain range located near our home. Being outside and enjoying nature is what we enjoy most. Whether it’s taking long strolls around the neighborhood, relaxing in our backyard listening to music by the pool, or simply gazing at the night stars through our telescope. We love the outdoors and being together. Several times a year, we take trips out to Michigan to visit our family and friends. While there, we enjoy boating, tubing, and our favorite thing ever…jet skiing! We absolutely cannot wait to share these moments with a child.

Our Friends and Family

Family and friends are extremely important to us. Dave is from a large close-knit family, which consists of his mother, father, step-mother, 2 brothers and a sister, along with tons of cousins. Nykol is an only child, and is very close to her mother and father as well as her extended family. Every year we get together at Dave’s father’s lake house, which overlooks beautiful Lake Charlevoix (MI). We spend time catching up, playing games, roasting marshmallows, boating and jet skiing. Nykol’s family lives locally and it is not uncommon for a last minute picnic, or family “get together” to occur. We love hanging out with our friends, and consider them family as well. We are all excited for the “new addition” and there is no doubt this child will be showered with unconditional love and attention from everyone!

Our Home and Community

Our 3 bedroom, two story Cape Code home has lots of charm and is located in a very family/child oriented neighborhood. We have plenty of room for a child to run around both inside and out. The playroom will be filled with toys and books, plenty of activities to stimulate their little mind and keep them curious about the world around them. Outside, we have a large fenced in yard with a swimming pool, which during the summer gets plenty of use. We love to have BBQ’s and get together with friends, family, and neighbors. There is even a space that Dave has already designated for, as he calls it “The Ultimate Jungle Gym”, which I believe he has already picked out.  It is not uncommon to see a deer or three, depending on the family size, enjoying a stroll down the street on the way to the woods near our home. We live in a tight knit neighborhood where people look out for each other and offer a hand when needed. Each year we look forward to the annual block party, in which the whole neighborhood attends, to catch up, play games, and dance. We love our home and community and cannot wait to raise a child here.
