We want to start by thanking you for taking the time to learn a little bit about us. We cannot begin to truly understand what you are going through, but please know that you are a very brave and courageous person. Making an adoption plan is a very loving and selfless act and shows what a very special person you are. Hopefully, this profile and pictures will help to show the safe, loving, happy home and life we can provide a child.

About Us

Our names are Paul and Rosa. We met while attending the same Tae Kwon Do studio. We dated for approximately three years during which we both obtained our 2nd degree black belt degrees. Training together gave us a great foundation for marriage. It taught us how to work together and overcome any obstacles as a team. We married in September of 2007 on a very memorable day. It was the day Hurricane Hanna visited NJ. Besides the occasional power outage, our wedding was wonderful and we joked that our first baby girl would be named Hanna. We wanted to have children but biologically we could not, and our decision to adopt came naturally and joyfully. Our friends and family have shown the most incredible support of our decision.

Paul loves to be happy, has a kind heart and soul, loves his family and will do anything for them. Paul always finds a way to make me laugh. He always knows when I need a good laugh and he always makes it happen. During the spring and summer, Paul loves to take care of the landscaping around our home. He is usually the first one in the neighborhood to do the first mow of the season. His favorite teams are the NY Yankees and NY Giants. He keeps himself healthy and fit through eating healthy and cross training.

I love Rosa because of her sensitivity, sense of humor, and her understanding nature. Her smile and laugh are contagious. Her favorite season is summer and she loves to just sit on the beach with a good book and absorb the sun and fresh air. Her favorite holiday is Christmas when she decorates the entire house with snowmen, snowmen and more snowmen. She loves to cook and bake; and during the winter months our home is filled with the aroma of homemade baked good.

Our Friends and Family

Our family life is filled with lots of love, laughter, activity and family gatherings. We love to visit new places for our vacations. We are fortunate to have family in such beautiful places as Italy and Hawaii and would love to share those beautiful places with a child. Summer is our favorite season and we love being outdoors. Some of the activities we enjoy are bike riding, hiking, attending minor league baseball games and spending time at the Jersey shore.

Our home is shared with our German Shepherd, Angel, who is obedient, loving, protective and kind.

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are the most special holidays with our families. Christmas Eve is spent at our house with friends and family and a feast of food. Christmas day is spent at Paul’s family’s house. We all gather in the living room and spend hours opening gifts we give through a secret Santa and then have wonderful dinner. Paul is very close to his parents, brother Jeff, and sister Devon.
Devon is married to Mike and they have baby Collin who is a year old. Devon is expecting their second child so we are excited to eventually have a cousin for Collin and the new baby to play with. Rosa is very close to her father and they set aside one night each week to have dinner together. Rosa’s Mom and brother, both passed away when Rosa was a teenager. She remembers the love and warm relationship she had with her mother and hopes to share that with a child one day.
