Introduction
Hello! We are Brad & Nick, and we sincerely thank you for taking the time to learn more about us, our family, and friends, and for considering us. We are so excited to be adopting and can't wait to bring a child into our family! We hope these stories and pictures will help you in making your choice. Please know that no matter what you choose, we wish you and your child all the best. We hope this book gives you a small glimpse into who we are, what we value, and all that we hope to share with a new child. We genuinely look forward to meeting you!
About Us
We originally met in Philadelphia while Brad was finishing medical school and Nick was teaching high school. Nick is a natural conversationalist and Brad was taken by his wit and humor. Nick loved Brad’s enthusiasm and infectious laughter. Nick introduced Brad to the beach towns in Delaware that he had frequented as a child with his family and friends. It only seemed natural that those same beaches would be where Brad would later propose to Nick. We’ve been married now for over 5 years and have made New Jersey our home. Brad is now a physician and Nick is a College Professor working with aspiring teachers. Together, we love to go on adventures, whether it be exploring new hiking trails or setting off to visit a new country. We are ready to share our adventures and love with a child and expand our family through the miracle of adoption!
WHAT NICK THINKS OF BRAD:
Brad is truly my partner in life -- I feel so lucky to be married to him. He is honestly the kindest person I know. He works incredibly hard to make me, and everyone he is around, happy and comfortable in every situation. He can be quiet and shy in some social situations until he feels comfortable, then he shines so brightly with his intellect and humor. I also love how curious he is -- I have seen him perfect his fluency in speaking Spanish, take up the violin, constantly expand his repertoire of delicious home-cooked recipes, take up home repair and woodworking projects, and most recently, earn his sailing license. He will without a doubt, be a wonderful, caring, curious and compassionate father.
WHAT BRAD THINKS OF NICK:
Nick is a wonderful husband and partner. He is my best friend and brings laughter into our home daily. I have been amazed to see his drive and dedication to always improve himself and uplift all those around him. He gives so much of himself to his students and works to bring out the best in them by helping them see the best in themselves. I know that he will make an awesome dad just as he has been an amazing partner and mentor. I love this man and can’t imagine my life without him.
FAMILIES:
Nick is very close with his family. They all live in the greater Philadelphia region and get together regularly for birthdays, holidays, and family vacations at the Delaware Beaches where they have a family beach home. Nick's Brother and Sister-in-law adopted their 3 children from China. Much of our own journey with adoption has been inspired by the beautiful and loving family we have watched them build over the years.
Brad's family is spread over both coasts. Every year they plan a family adventure together and recently went to Colorado and California. He has a niece and nephew who live in northern California near the Redwood State and National Parks. His parents live in upstate New York right on the shore of Lake Ontario.
TRAVEL:
Together we love to see and experience new places, people, and foods! We appreciate the beauty of the world around us and try to soak in as much culture as we can each year, whether it's around our home, at the beach, or a far-off destination. Recently we had the opportunity to go to London, Greece, and hike in Yosemite National Park.
NEIGHBORHOOD:
We live in a family-oriented neighborhood and town in New Jersey with many parks, beaches and amusements within driving distance. We also live just across the river from the city of Philadelphia which we love to visit from time to time. We have a 2-story home with 3 big bedrooms and plenty of room for play. We love our backyard, our neighbors with 4 small children, and the huge park across the street with a new playground, lake for fishing, and soccer & baseball fields. The school system in our town is great, and all of the schools are within walking distance of our home. It's truly a wonderful place to live!
PASTIMES:
In our free time, we like to read, cook, exercise, hike, bike, camp, and go to the theater, movies, and concerts. Brad just received his license for sailing, and Nick loves to play the piano. We love to go for walks in our New Jersey town with our beautiful and very sweet dog, Winnie. We also love to spend time with close friends and family at the Delaware and Jersey Shores. While we love to be active, a quiet evening at home with Netflix and pizza is also one of our favorite activities!

Since first meeting one another over 9 years ago, we have always dreamed of being parents and of having a child to raise in our loving home! We feel honored to be adopting, knowing that we have so much love to share with your child. We hope this profile gives you a glimpse into who we are and what we value as future parents.
