Introduction
Hi There! We are John and Sherri. Although we have not met, please know we are thinking of you and wishing you peace, strength and courage as you explore the world of adoption. It is our hope that we put your heart at ease as we share with you our deep desire to become parents and all of our love and opportunities we have to provide an amazing life for your child. We have so much love to give, and feel deep in our hearts through strong forces and fate that we are meant to begin our family and fulfill all our dreams through the love of adoption. We are genuinely honored you are taking this time and getting to know us through our adoption profile.
About Us
We have been together for seven years but it feels like we've known each other our entire lives. We both grew up in the same small town and attended the same high school and later reconnected when we were both invited to the same super bowl party...and that is when we fell in love! After two years of dating we got married on Halloween!
We're down to earth people and faithful best friends. We love each other deeply and can’t wait to instill some of the same wholesome values and beliefs that are important to us, which include loyalty, honesty, respect and a good work ethic in a child.
We truly make a great team and have accomplished so much to be grateful for. The only missing piece to bring great meaning to our lives is a child to love and share all the opportunities that we have to offer. We own our own home and successful family landscaping and snowplowing business. We also talk often about how fantastic it would be to be able to teach the trade and for our family business to carry on and provide for future generations.
Family Life
We love spending time together and make each other laugh by acting silly. Most of our quality time together is spent at our home or around our area; hiking, biking, shopping at farms and going to fairs. We love to work on home projects, spend time with our pets, cook and eat outside on our deck or take lunch and spend the day out on the lake in our boat. We love creating memorable experiences together and can't wait to create new ones with a child.
Our friends and family are truly important to us and we are blessed to have them! They will all play an important role in our childs life. Sherri’s family lives close by and is always around and there when you need them. John’s family resides in North Carolina, and we take turns traveling to see each other. Close and nearby, both sides of our families will always be involved and a huge part of our child’s life. We all can’t wait for our family to grow through adoption.
Our Home and Community
At home is where we spend our quality time, cook and eat our meals together, watch TV and stream movies, talk about our day and discuss how we hope all our plans for our future Includes us as mom and dad to a sweet precious child.
We live in a lake community surrounded by lakes, mountains and nature in a two-bedroom farmhouse style home with a spacious fenced in backyard. There's tree lined streets with speed bumps and at the end of our street is a clubhouse that hosts year round kid-friendly activities. We have private lakes for swimming, fishing and boating. During the summer there's a lifeguard on duty. It’s a safe place for kids to play outdoors.
It's the perfect place for us to have planted our roots and a great place for a child to make life-long friends, create happy childhood memories and to grow up in.
